Over 100 homeless ...

... but not for long. A fire broke-out in the Washington Hotel on East Hastings in Vancouver on Thursday, Feb. 5th, putting over 100 people back on the streets.

Thanks to the firemen who tackled the blaze quickly, lessening the damage that On Side cleaned up.  A further heart-felt 'thank-you' to Martin Jones and his crew at On Side who came together immediately following, ensuring that the fire devastation and resulting emergency restoration be handled quickly and efficiently. Within 48 hours, many homeless were back living safely in their 'what-was' smoke-filled and damaged building.

All suites, with the exception of those damaged directly by the fire, were restored and livable. This is one of the fastest emergency restorations On Side has completed and it was due in part to those working on this job who understood the urgency and were willing to go the extra mile.
