I am following up to a cleaning crew that came to my house over the last three days of this week. While the members changed, the woman who was consistent during all three days was Kari (others included Jerome, Penny, Fay and Kim) and so it is regarding her lead, and the work of the others, that I want to give my gratitude. 

My home was flooded -- top down -- in July and I have lived in dust and wood chips for some time. Coming home to a clean and cared for space was wonderful. While I was present for the initial clean, I had to leave town for the last day and Kari was specific to ask where to work and where not to, as well as asking for the layout of furniture that was to be cleaned and returned to their original location. All of this was done beautifully. In particular, the basement was an outrageous mess of ongoing drywall and wood dust -- I learned that a newly trained person, Fay, did this area and it was superior.

Just a quick note to say that your drywall guys that did the work here over the last two days were great. They were very polite and very professional, and they worked quickly and efficiently. They even marked a couple of spots on the new drywall so the next person who comes in knows not to put any screws or anything into it at those locations, due to live water tubing or piping behind the board. Also, the insulation and vapour barrier work was done nicely too.  We very much appreciated their efforts!

It was quite a shock, but it was very reassuring to have the help come so quickly after discovering the problem. I received a call very quickly after contacting my insurance company, and was given advice about what to do immediately, following which your team came to my home within hours, contained and removed the damaged walls, ceiling and flooring and started drying out the water. It was so helpful to have boxes provided and the ladies to help me pack up the affected rooms in preparation for the repairs.  I found all of your staff very pleasant, friendly, helpful and respectful. As well, I was quite impressed with the businesslike manner in which the work was done. All of the crews who came to help me after the flooding in the basement did their jobs well. From Steve's assessment and the first crew who took care of the emergency work through to the drywall, painting and flooring teams, and the cleaning crew at the end, everyone was cordial, tidy and did more than satisfactory work. I was particularly impressed when one person from each crew discussed what they would do for the day, and we were able to discuss any changes, such as paint type, before they began. And they always followed up if there was any other decisions to make along the way. At the end of each day they were here, they showed me the work they had done to ensure it met my expectations, and they always left the premises in clean condition. When something like this happens, as I'm sure you know, it's stressful for your customers who are still trying to run their businesses. The teams from Stay Kleen (Division of On Side) helped us get through this and made me feel that they cared about the work as well as getting us back up and running with the minimum inconvenience.

I had the misfortune in April of 2010 to be the recipient of a water leak into my condominium. My good fortune began with my insurance firm...assigning my claim to Claims Representative Loraine. As this was my first ever insurance claim, I was at her mercy. She graciously took me through the process, asking if I had my own restoration firm to which I replied I did not. I questioned whom they would recommend. She then gave me the four top firmed they called. I then asked her who of the four would be the closest in mileage. Even though this was my first claim, there was no way I was going to be taken to the cleaner on mileage. That turned out to be your firm, which also turned out to be the best move I could ever have made.

The above mentioned Darcy U. is the most honest, no nonsense person I have ever dealt with. He spotted immediately upon entering my unit that I was a no nonsense person, nor would I tolerate any con games. We took an immediate liking and respect for each other. Darcy truly takes pride in his firm and position. His ability to obtain the best out of the crews and firmed he hired for the job is amazing. These firms were not only for the claim, there was work that was on my dime and had no clue as to whom I should hire for the thousands of dollars I invested in the Austrian Sheers I have in my unit. He put me in touch with (an upholstery sub-trade), they did a magnificent job.  The sheers came back to the exact length they left with. As for the painters, (they) also did a great job.

As president of the Strata Council, I can assure you any restoration claims this building requires will now be given to On Side and Darcy.

This last July my condo flooded. I was notified of this by the property manager who advised me that this would be taken care of by the condo board insurance company.

This was my first time dealing with this type of insurance claim, and I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was not looking forward to the process.

Shortly after the flooding occurred I received a call from Kathryn R. to arrange a time to have the damage assessed. I met with her and Paul from On Side Restoration. They did a walk through and assessed the damage and initiated the project. Both Paul and Kathryn were very professional and I was impressed at how quick and painless the process was, as I was expecting it to be more drawn out.

Once the assessment was done Travis U. and Trevor U. from On Side Restoration completed the work on the condo. They were extremely professional and I couldn't believe how fast they got the condo restored. The work that was done looks amazing. Travis also took the time to answer any questions I had and explained to me how the work was being done. As someone who is not very familiar with the construction and restoration process I really appreciated this.

There was also an important timeline on this job, since someone was moving into the unit. I explained this situation to On Side Restoration and they worked to ensure that all the work was done on time.

Overall I was extremely impressed with my experience with On Side Restoration. Having a condo flood can be a very stressful situation. On Side went out of their way to make the best of a bad situation, and I really appreciated their professionalism and understanding. Keep up the good work!

Hard to believe it has been three months since the July 29 storm. Prior to this event, I would not have guessed what such an event can do to a person in charge of a property of such as a Mall. I am so grateful to all who stepped in and by doing their jobs made mine so much easier.

Brent was my first contact after the flood and he just came in and got things running so smoothly I was stunned. On a long weekend he had a crew of willing hard workers from On Side Restoration on site and easing the concerns of all.

My next contacts were the original crew from On Side of Dave and his trusted Right hand Mark. They perhaps had the most difficult tasks…but even that was handled so professionally it ceased to be a concern.

Mark did an amazing job of keeping my tenants informed of what was going to be happening and when.

After the cleanup was done and reconstruction began was when I started to work with Mac and this crew more, and they continued solving problems for me.

Ultimately, if I had to sum things up, that last sentence sums up this entire experience for me. You guy's solved problems for me, you didn't create more.

In my management style I attempt to be pleasant and helpful. If problems arise I try to be a diplomat, and I found that everyone involved in this situation was doing the same thing.

It's not often I would say this, but we are going to miss having everyone in the On Side crew around. We respect your work ethic and enjoyed you as individuals.

We own...a two bedroom apartment in ...Salmon Arm.  On 13th February 2010 a fire in...the same block caused so much damage to our property as to render it totally unfit for habitation.

Initial restoration of our property by a company other than ON SIDE Restoration proved unsatisfactory. 

By contrast, ON SIDE's (Vernon Branch) work omitted not a single detail, cut no corners, was most comprehensively thorough and demonstrated Best Practice in action by utilizing all latest recovery and restoration knowledge and techniques.  ON SIDE's team was led by Branch Manager Neville Byles and supported by Project Co-ordinator Diane Prince.  Both evidenced complete knowledge of all relevant circumstances of the case and, consequently, were able to answer whatever questions we fired at them in a very efficient, as well as friendly, manner.  At a time when we and the gentleman who resides in our apartment  were undergoing considerable stress resulting from the effects of the fire, it was particularly comforting and reassuring to be in the hands of a competent, conscientious and caring company such as ON SIDE, in the knowledge that all necessary work would be carried out to a totally satisfactory quality standard in the shortest practicable time - two aspects of problem resolution not only of interest to us but also, no doubt, to any insurance company involved.

 On the basis of our own personal experience as well as that of the gentleman residing in our apartment, who is a very widely experienced realty and property professional, we have no hesitation whatsoever to thoroughly recommend and endorse ON SIDE Restoration's (Vernon Branch).
