Asbestos Technician (formerly Remediation) – Winnipeg

When disasters happen, Asbestos Technicians at On Side are truly on ‘your side’. Asbestos can pop-up anywhere and requires special knowledge and experience to deal with. Asbestos Technicians can perform remediation services while protecting the health and safety of workers and clients. 

Remediation Technicians are responsible for: 

• Ensuring a safe work area from asbestos by knowing how to remove and remediate potential dangers from the work site 

• Identifying and disposing of asbestos contaminated materials 

What you bring: 

• Organized with a good sense of time— you’re rarely late and know where all your tools are 
• Physically fit— remediation can, at times, include heavy lifting and getting into (and out of) tight places 

• Friendly and enjoys working in a team! 
• A safety-first mindset 
• Valid driver’s licence and a clean criminal record (we do check) 
• Ability to communicate in English 

Other stuff that will contribute to your success but isn’t required: 

• Asbestos remediation ticket 
• A background in demolition 
• Construction experience 

Of Note 

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement.
