Content Restoration

Sentimental, confidential, invaluable or ... replaceable.

Contents associated with a property comprise a considerable portion of any claim. After a disaster, precious belongings and critical documents may be damaged. Determining what is possible to salvage is a critical and delicate process.

Our Contents Division determines if the affected contents are restorable or non restorable. Our immediate focus is to mitigate affected items from further damage, and to create a detailed inventory of items that are deemed non restorable. Some items are extremely sentimental to clients and others are confidential, invaluable or replaceable. Careful consideration is given when our team works with your contents.

Pack Out

If conditions are hazardous and not suitable for onsite cleaning or security concerns exist, a pack-out may be necessary. Our staff exercises great care for all valuables, carefully packing contents and transporting them to our own professional and secure facilities. They are then unpacked, cleaned, deodorized and inspected with impressive attention to detail.

Deodorization and drying chambers

Specific processes may be necessary to dry or eliminate odour in contents. On Side has both drying and deodorization chambers designed to do just this.

For contents that require controlled drying, items are set onto mobile racks and are then placed into a drying chamber where heat, dehumidification and air movement are introduced to produce fast yet very controlled drying.

For odour holding contents, items are placed on mobile racks and set into a deodorization chamber where ozone or ultra-violet light is introduced, breaking down all organic particles often associated with odour.

On Side has the ability to assist in the recovery of irreplaceable paper and media. Specialty freeze-drying chambers are used in this process with careful controlled monitoring in order to bring critical items stemming from certificates to confidential documents, back to pre-loss conditions. Rest assured, those irreplaceable documents can be restored.

Cleaning both hard and soft goods can be concerning for many of our clients for fear that they may not be restorable. Today, cost effective technology is implemented when possible, allowing many goods that were once considered non restorable to be recovered.

On Side Restoration uses the Fireline System; increasing cleaning productivity up to 60% over a manual hand cleaning method. Less time often equates to less cost. This system is comprised of water tanks with environmentally friendly solutions and uses ultrasonic technology to remove contaminants. From fine china to rusty hand tools, many hard goods can be placed in this system and successfully and quickly cleaned.

Should the hard goods be that of furniture, On Side has a professionally trained refinisher in-house to successfully refinish fine wood furniture.

Cleaning both soft and hard goods can be concerning for many of our clients for fear that they may not be restorable. Today, cost effective technology is implemented when possible, allowing many goods that were once considered non restorable to be recovered.

As part of our commitment to provide leading solutions On Side operates and is certified in the CCRN (Certified Contents Restoration Network) ESPORTA Wash System.

Preservation of delicate or collector artwork and restoring them back to their original beauty is something that should only be done by a conservator. The removal of contaminants to such delicate pieces and making them look untouched is truly an artwork in itself.
