On Side’s staff supported the 9th annual Animal Expo put on by DCAS (Delta Community Animal Shelter) where an impressive $10,000 was raised to support the medical-focused Tollie Fund! This one day event and their activities included 35 exhibitors with several thousand participants and their furry friends. The Animal Expo took place in Ladner Memorial Park in beautiful Delta, BC.
This year On Side generously donated the following new carnival games:
On Side became involved in this worthy community event as one of their staff members, Lisa Nykoluk (Business Development Manager – West), is on the committee. The colourful photo booth and bean bag toss were beautifully designed and hand-painted by Carmen Bielby (Contents Technician / Art Restoration Department) and David Pruden (Field Supervisor, Construction) designed and built the slingshot game as well as offered to transport all of the larger than life games from our Vancouver Branch to Delta.
On Side Restoration’s staff like to give back to their community in all of our branches across Canada. Activities include, but are not limited to, ‘Give a Christmas’ initiatives in BC’s interior, special community-focused sports activities, well as the Company’s national sponsorship of WICC in the war against cancer (Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade).
At Delta Community Animal Shelter we believe in providing opportunities for pet owners and animal enthusiasts to become more engaged with the animals in their lives! The Animal Expo is not only a fundraiser for the shelter’s lifesaving medical fund, the #TollieFund, but also a chance to connect and enjoy a day of fun! Free admission makes this a MUST GO TO event for the entire family (including your leashed friendly dog!).
