On Side and Partners Raise Over $12,000 and Essential Items for Boyle Street Community Services

On Side Restoration along with its close vendor partners held its 5th Annual Fundraiser on September 12, 2025, and successfully raised $12,252 plus collected generous donations of urgently needed items for Boyle Street Community Services and their Emergency Response Fund.

Carnival was the theme, and to rise to the occasion, over 30 staff from On Side’s Edmonton branch volunteered to create a vibrant atmosphere packed with inflatable challenge courses, plenty of games, cotton candy stand, 360⁰ photo booth and mini putt. The team rocked their theme, further motivating participation and engagement from guests and passersby. All who attended the event were treated to tasty treats and giveaways.

Dwayne Harris, Operations Manager, On Side Edmonton said, “Hosting the fundraiser for Boyle Street is a big highlight of our year at the branch. The staff look forward to September to collaborate with our industry partners to organize this event and support locals in need. It is nice to see that what began as a working relationship in 2020 has become a partnership that supported not just the physical structure of the Community Centre, but also the essential material needs of those who Boyle Street serves. I also want to thank all our vendor partners and sponsors for their support in making this event a success in our fifth year.”

This event would not have been possible without the generous support and partnership of On Side’s vendor partners including Rahall Electric Ltd., Abatement Technologies, Strata Electrical Contracting Inc., OCI Group, Rapid Response Group Ltd.  Envirospec Solutions Inc., K. Gronemeyer & Son Painting, Ghost Reconstruction Inc., Salco Group, Alberta Surface Cleaning, EHS Partnerships Ltd., Rahall Mechanical Inc., Sunbelt Rentals Inc., Wesco / Hazmasters, Popowich Meat Company, Super Save Group, TrimLine of Parkland, and Titan Flooring & Interior Design Ltd.

The total cash and in-kind donations this year included a generous contribution of $10,000 from Intact Financial Corporation. Large quantities of new and gently used sweatpants, socks, sleeping bags and new packs of personal hygiene items filled up three large storage crates. The money raised will support Boyle Street’s Emergency Response Fund for this coming winter, allowing them to buy high quality gloves, warm clothing, and other in-demand items to keep people warm and safe all through the cold winter months.

Kass Green, Manager of Development, Boyle Street Community Services shares, “Our partnership with On Side Restoration and their collaborators for this annual event holds significant meaning for our organization, our staff, and, most importantly, the individuals and families we serve. The care, compassion, and generosity put into raising dollars and in-kind supplies help keep our community safe and well throughout the year. This collaboration is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together for a shared purpose. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the organizers, volunteers, and attendees for helping to take care of our community this upcoming winter.”

Every year, On Side’s Edmonton team continues to demonstrate one of company’s key values – generosity – by giving back to the communities in which we live and work.
