Supporting NAOSH Week this year (May 6-12 2018) On Side Restoration also has reason to celebrate. The North American Occupational Safety and Health Committee selected On Side’s own Justin McConville as a recipient for the 2018 NAOSH Safety Champion award. Mr. McConville has worked for On Side Restoration for the past 14 years in the hazardous materials field as well as the health and safety environmental divisions.
Mr. McConville was nominated because of his high level of commitment to safety and the industry experience he has brought to the Fire and Flood Restoration Program, Technical Advisory Committee (FFRP-TAC). Just last month, Justin also presented a valuable presentation on Asbestos at the Occupational Disease Symposium.
Justin McConville, manages the in-house asbestos testing laboratory and leads the specialty remediation department. He’s attended the McCrone Research institute in Chicago Illinois to obtain asbestos identification and testing training, and has also earned his Certificate in Environmental and Occupational Health from the University of Victoria. Justin provides consultative support and presentations to affiliated organizations like BC Construction Safety Alliance and the FFRP (Fire, Flood, Restoration Program Technical Advisory Committee), Work Safe BC and Insurance Institute credits program.
