Not Your Average Relay Race, Introducing the Defi 800

The Defi 800 is a relay race that spans over… you guessed it, nearly 800 kilometers! And this year, the 4-day relay race is from Montreal to Toronto. The French word ‘defi’ translates to the word challenge in English, and that’s what it’s really all about. It is an adventure that encourages participants to overcome challenges to help raise money and awareness in support of a very worthy cause, the mental health and wellbeing of youth in Canada. This year, all proceeds raised by the 2023 Defi 800 will go toward the two organizations below that focus on empowering youth to revolutionize their own mental health and that of their communities through funding, resources, education, and other school based or community programs.

This year, On Side Restoration is the lead sponsor of the event and has entered two teams to take part in the race. On May 18, our teams will take off from their starting point in Montreal, where each runner will take turns running for approximately 7-12 kilometers. Once their turn is over, they pass they get the opportunity to rest aboard a team RV that follows closely behind.
