The Job – Bilingual Product Owner (Processes)
The project and planning team are looking for a Bilingual Product Owner / Project manager to lead and manage processes for our operations across the country.
Under the supervision of the Project and Planning Director, the Bilingual Product Owner will be responsible for “End to End” of the “solutions” implemented and actively participating in the implementation and integration of multiple projects impacting the operations – more specifically, the financial applications or operational transformational.
In addition, the Product Owner will also have to support the various stakeholders to facilitate decision-making and propose strategies to find solutions to obstacles and contribute to the achievement of established business objectives by using their financial and technical knowledge.
Work location:
The Product Owner position allows for work in any location in Canada that On Side Restoration has a branch.
What you’ll do here:
As part of managing business initiatives, the Bilingual Product Owner:
- Participates in the establishment of a center of excellence in project management.
- Manages a portfolio of business projects related to our strategic objectives.
- Develops and maintains project plans by identifying deliverables, defining duration, establishing costs and participating in the assignment of team tasks.
- Tracks and monitors project progress and communicate progress in accordance with company policies and standards.
- Effectively leads meetings and create presentations for project statuses.
- Prepare all project/program reports, identify, and resolve problems and take appropriate action.
- Promote and apply best practices in project management and change management.
- Collaborate with management teams and various business partners.
- Acts as the guardian of the product vision throughout all phases of the product life cycle.
- Understands business processes and systems and displays mastery of the different data flows.
When integrating business projects:
- Acts as the resource person by coordinating design sessions with business teams.
- Prioritizes tasks, and changes, and participates in the configuration, established tests, documents the results, and facilitates the work of businesspeople.
- Collects, analyzes, and quantifies data to validate integrity and accuracy according to different systems and sources.
- Collaborates with internal and external auditors on the processes and controls carried out on the applications as an administrator.
- Learns On Sides’ suite of products and becomes the expert in all On Side applications.
- May discover and propose new ideas or designs and develop concepts to improve On Side processes and tools.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, computer systems management or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Knowledge and experience of Avanti, NAV systems is a major asset.
- Knowledge of accounting and corporate finance.
- In-depth knowledge of the MS Excel tool.
- Experience in the world of insurance and restoration.
- Experience working with cross functional team (HR, finance, IT, operations)
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with large national scale projects.
- Bilingual (French and English) in order to service our operations across the country.
