We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Lab crew and play a key role in shaping the data platforms, architecture, and engineering practices that power the business.
In this senior technical role reporting to the Manager, Data Lab, you’ll lead the design and development of enterprise-scale data solutions, modernize legacy systems, and drive the adoption of modern engineering standards across the organization. Working closely with business leaders, IT partners, and fellow Data Lab team members, you’ll help create secure, reliable, and future-ready data capabilities that support reporting, analytics, and emerging AI initiatives.

Compensation
- Salary Range: $85,000-$120,000
- Salary based on skills, qualifications and experience
- Annual Performance Incentive Bonus – Percentage of base salary subject to personal and company performance.

What You’ll Do
- Design, architect, and build enterprise-scale Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and pipeline frameworks across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Architect and develop advanced ETL/ELT solutions, dimensional data models, and semantic layers for enterprise reporting and self-service analytics.
- Implement data governance, metadata management, data lineage, security, and access control frameworks to ensure trusted, compliant data.
- Drive platform modernization, legacy reporting upgrades, CI/CD automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establish engineering standards, coding practices, automated testing, and release management deployment processes.
- Oversee production platform monitoring, performance tuning, CDC (Change Data Capture), and operational reliability
- Mentor and coach Data Engineers and junior technical team members while promoting technical excellence.
- Collaborate with IT, external vendors, application owners, and business leaders to deliver strategic data solutions
- Explore emerging technologies to support future capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and advanced analytics.
What You Bring
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, and Solution Design for enterprise-scale platforms.
- Core Tech Stack Expertise: Advanced skills in SQL development, Python, PySpark, PowerShell, and enterprise ETL/ELT design.
- Modern Cloud Data Platforms: 2+ years of hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms—specifically Microsoft Fabric, Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL), Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Database Integrations & APIs: Hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining database integrations with internal and external applications through APIs and data services to ensure secure, reliable data exchange.
- Migrations & Upgrades: Proven ability to plan and execute database migrations, upgrades, and platform transitions with minimal business disruption, validating data integrity and optimizing performance through successful cutovers.
- DevOps & Engineering Best Practices: Strong background in Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code reviews, environment management, and observability.
- Reporting & Analytics: Hands-on knowledge of Power BI, semantic model design, and data consumption layer optimization.
- Data Governance & Operations: Deep understanding of data quality controls, data lineage, security, access frameworks, and production performance tuning.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Proven track record of leading modernization initiatives, collaborating with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to design scalable data models, mentoring junior engineers, and managing stakeholder relationships across teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Statistics, or a related field.
