Position Summary
When water strikes, we fight back!
At On Side, our Water Damage Technicians are the calm in the storm—literally. From burst pipes to sewer surprises, you’ll be the first responder who turns chaos into clean, dry order.
You’ll work hands-on to remove water, set up drying equipment, and help restore homes and businesses to their pre-disaster state. Empathy and urgency are key, you’re not just fixing spaces, you’re helping people through one of their most stressful moments.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $26-$31 /hour
- Overtime opportunities (where applicable)

What You’ll Do
- Perform demolition of affected structures and materials
- Set up and monitor drying equipment
- Clean and restore areas impacted by water-related disasters
- Complete restoration tasks
- Support emergency mitigation efforts as needed
- Documentation and tracking throughout your work day including digital uploads
What You Bring
- Technical & Industry Experience: Water Damage Restoration or Demolition experience (an asset); mindfulness with careful demo and good housekeeping practices.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Intuitive understanding of how equipment and systems work.
- Physical & Safety Readiness: Physically fit (capable of lifting 50 lbs and maneuvering tight spaces), committed to a safety-first mindset, and willing to wear required PPE (including remaining clean-shaven for half/full-face respirator masks, if applicable).
- Work Ethic & Self-Management: Highly organized, reliable, punctually on time, accurate tool tracking, and able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Drive & Initiative: Self-motivated with a strong work ethic—takes initiative, gets the job done, and consistently brings best effort.
- Teamwork & Adaptability: Friendly, positive attitude, tech-savvy (able to learn job-specific apps/programs), and enthusiastic about learning and cross-training across Remediation, Contents Cleaning, Emergency, and other teams.
- Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Licensing & Compliance: Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract, and able to pass On Side’s criminal record check requirements.

- Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement. Meaning you’ll work regular weekday hours and participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.
