Director, National Project Administration
Working closely and collaboratively with the Project Management (PM) group, Operations and various corporate teams, the Director, National Project Administration will provide the leadership to carry out the strategies, plans, and initiatives to execute the goals and objectives of On Side.
The Director, National Project Administration’s leadership will be crucial in meeting the execution of our growth strategies in supporting, as well as providing direction, motivation and management to the Project Administrators (PAs) and Supervisors to positively handle administrative support of files for branches’ profitability.
The Director will play a pivotal role in driving transformative changes, anticipating future technological requirements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement—all while strategically scaling operations to support the company’s goal of doubling in size.
Leadership
- Contribute to and actively support the Performance Optimization VP in the development of the strategic direction of both the National and Regional fronts.
- Provide direction and contribute to process and technology initiatives and improvements.
- Create a spirit and culture of striving for superior customer service. (external clients)
- Manage and enhance the PA HUB and leverage new technology to improve results and execution
- Work closely with the Regional VP and Branch Managers to support and execute projects as required.
- Lead, recruit and ensure adequate training is provided for PAs to be successful and able to meet the objectives of our strategic plan.
- Support On Side’s health and safety program and ensure policies and procedures are followed by all On Side personnel and sub-contractors.
- In the event of a CAT the Director will support the Regional VP and CAT Manager with the company’s response and provide directions as to what level of support may be needed to meet client expectations.
- Will always collaborate closely with the Director of CEC and Client Support Services.
Profitability
- Working with Finance; prepare, forecast, analyze and report financial performance for the region.
- Conduct reviews of E-folio as per plan
- Review each PA KPI guidelines and support Supervisors and teams that are not currently meeting expectations to resolve the issues around the inability to meet the KPI’s
- Create the annual budget and monitor results to respect expectations in each region.
- Provide a forecast to corporate as needed to identify significant deviations from expected expenses.
Relationship Management
- Serve as a senior contact for specific On Side Insurance and/or Commercial customers in the province and/or nationally.
- Build and manage relationships with regions, customers and corporate partners to meet client and company expectations and performance metrics.
- Support the marketing and administration activities within the Regions when required
- Continually work to improve claim cycle time and customer satisfaction goals
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in team management, ideally in mid to senior-level roles within claims, settlement management, project management, or construction.
- Post-secondary education (college or university) in any field is considered a strong asset.
- Proven ability to attract, retain, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit, innovative mindset, and forward-thinking approach.
- A proactive, results driven, highly skilled business professional with proven record for meeting and exceeding targets and objectives.
- Strong coaching skills with ability to inspire and influence to achieve success.
- A well-developed pattern of achievement, competitive skills, energy, motivation, enthusiasm, and integrity
- Excellent communicator with a natural, authentic rapport
- Collaborator, self-motivated and goal oriented.
- Strategic and analytical thinker with strong negotiation abilities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); actively engaged in AI initiatives
- Flexible availability during CAT hours; Regular travel across Canada required
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
