Position Summary

Carpenters at On Side rebuild and restore damaged personal property anywhere and anytime a disaster strikes. With the goal of getting things back to a pre-disaster state, Flooring Carpenters focus on repairing existing flooring and installing new flooring. If you’re passionate about helping people and skilled at making things right, this is your chance to make a real difference.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $25-$26/hour
• Overtime opportunities (where applicable)

What You’ll Do

• Finishing work and fine details, rough and trim
• Preparing flooring surface
• Installing laminate and vinyl flooring as well as carpet
• Complete flooring repairs

What You Bring

• 3+ years experience installing flooring
• Experience in interior carpentry repairs is a strong asset
• Attention to detail, passion for quality and pride in the work you do
• Tools and the skills to use them
• Strong people and communication skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team
• A safety mindset
• Tech-savvy (comfortable using apps and software)
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to pass a criminal record check
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and spoken

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement. Meaning you’ll work regular weekday hours and participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.
