Position Summary
On Side Restoration is looking for an Operations Manager to join our team! Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Operations Manager will oversee our Kamloops Branch Location.
The Operations Manager is all about managing and leading people. Their people focus is all encompassing and will result in the ultimate success of the local operations, territory, company, and position. Overseeing all operations personnel, the Operations Manager must have superior knowledge of operations management and the ability to build superior relationships with key stake holders. Responsible for building teams the Operations Manager ensures the ops team is up to date on all health and safety standards, able to meet key KPI’s and work as a unified team
Compensation
- Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000 /year
- Salary based on skills, qualifications and experience
- Annual Performance Incentive Bonus – Percentage of base salary subject to personal and company performance.

What You’ll Do
- Direct & Motivate: Manage the daily workflow, job scheduling, and task allocation for the operations team and sub-trades.
- Lead an Operations Team: Provide strong day-to-day management, mentorship, and direction to a dedicated team of 15 personnel.
- Foster a High-Performance Culture: Cultivate a workplace focused on high employee engagement, accountability, and an inclusive, customer-centric environment.
- Communicate & Escalate: Act as a primary point of contact for homeowners, ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and swift resolution of concerns.
- Uphold Policy & Protocol: Consistently enforce company policies, customer protocols, and standard operating procedures with high discretion and objective judgment, independent of workplace distractions.
- Lead Health & Safety: Lead the charge on accident reduction, maintain a safe working environment, and ensure the branch meets COR (Certificate of Recognition) requirements.
What You Bring
- Proven Operations Leadership: 3+ years of leadership and operations management experience, preferably overseeing teams of 15+ within a fast-paced environment.
- Industry Expertise: A strong working knowledge of the construction or restoration industry, including an understanding of building codes.
- Resilience & Professional Presence: Exceptional self-confidence and professional composure; demonstrated ability to manage high-pressure situations, handle conflict, and set firm boundaries with grace and diplomacy.
- Labor Relations Experience: Prior experience working within or managing teams in a unionized environment is considered a strong asset.
- Strategic & Objective Mindset: Enhanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to maintain objectivity and use sound discretion when making tough decisions.
- Results-Driven Achievement: A proactive professional with a track record of meeting tight timelines and exceeding targets.
- Communication Mastery: An excellent communicator who builds authentic rapport with internal teams, sub-trades, and homeowners alike.
- Education: A post-graduate degree is an asset; an equivalent combination of education and hands-on industry experience will be fully evaluated.
- Technical & Admin Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) alongside a clean criminal background check

- Our team culture is built on daily in-person collaboration at our Kamloops branch. This role requires working in branch five days a week.
- The restoration industry requires flexibility to respond to emergencies. While this role is not a scheduled on-call position, be aware that unforeseen disasters may necessitate after-hours work.
