Compensation: $94 000 – $115 000 /year* (full-time / permanent)
As a Senior Financial Analyst, reporting to the Manager FP&A, your function will support strategic decision-making by providing financial insight and analysis on complete On Side P&L items. This dynamic role requires a balance of strong numerical proficiency, excellent relationship-building skills, and solid business acumen. You must have outstanding organizational abilities to lead and produce simultaneous tasks and projects.
In this role, you will prepare financial reports, forecasts, budgets, cost-benefit analyses, and other performance measurements and KPIs. You will support management in the preparation of information package for the monthly meetings with the Senior Management team as well as quarterly Board meetings. The incumbent will streamline and enhance financial reporting processes and analysis tools / systems as well as lead various projects.
Senior Finance Analyst are responsible for:
- Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process to ensure accuracy and alignment with the company’s overall strategy.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership team, with analysis of results and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance and profitability analysis by branch down to EBITA, and highlight unexpected results to business leaders to help articulate profit enhancement measures.
- Implement expense monitoring by department and branch, collaborating with their leaders in managing expenses and optimizing resource allocations.
- Prepare and lead meetings with Operations leaders, reviewing their regional results and providing insights, such as identifying volume trends, mix changes, expense monitoring.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives.
- Provide critical financial insights and recommendations to drive business performance.
- Work closely with the Financial Reporting team to drive efficiencies in the finance processes and to support them in their estimates (for ex. revenue recognition estimation modelling, accruals based on projections).
- Promote financial knowledge by providing training tailored to the business user groups.
- Assist with the business acquisition process, including due diligence, valuation modelling, risks identification and assessment, opportunities and negotiation points.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related fields
- CPA or CFA designation.
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in finance, with 2-3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a public company, large organization or public accounting firm.
- Strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and excellent organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication abilities, including capacity to present results and analyses in a concise and accurate manner
- Financial modeling expertise
- Demonstrated autonomy, proactivity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with ability to liaise with stakeholders across the organization
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required. Power BI is an asset.
- Fluent in English required, Fluent in French highly desired.
