We are looking for a Senior LMS Administrator, Systems & Analytics to take ownership of our Learning Management System and elevate how we deliver training across the organization. This role plays a vital part in ensuring compliance, optimizing system performance, and enabling meaningful insights that support our operational excellence goals.

You will serve as the LMS subject matter expert, ensuring the platform is well‑governed, learner‑friendly, and designed to scale with a growing national organization.

Role Summary
The Senior Learning Management System Administrator, Systems & Analytics owns the administration, governance, and optimization of the organization’s Learning Management System (LMS). This role ensures data integrity, compliance, system performance, and seamless learner experience, while providing advanced reporting and insights to support organizational learning objectives.

The role combines hands‑on LMS administration with system‑level ownership, governance, and analytical capability, serving as the subject matter expert (SME) for the LMS platform and a trusted partner to business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

LMS Administration & Operations

  • Manage user accounts, profiles, roles, and permissions to support new hires, job changes, and terminations with a focus on data accuracy and audit readiness.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain courses, assessments, certifications, and learning paths, including lifecycle management and retirement of outdated content.
  • Process and maintain electronic training records and associated documentation in alignment with internal and external requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for LMS issues, triaging requests and resolving or coordinating solutions efficiently.
  • Monitor and manage shared LMS communication channels, ensuring timely responses and consistent service standards.
  • Create, review, and maintain compliance and operational reports; follow up with stakeholders on overdue or non‑compliant training as required.
  • Generate and distribute standardized and ad‑hoc LMS reports for internal leaders, auditors, regulators, and external partners, as applicable.
  • Maintain and update learning‑related resources and documentation on the team’s SharePoint or knowledge management sites.

LMS Structure, Governance & Optimization

  • Own the configuration, governance, and ongoing optimization of LMS taxonomy, categories, workflows, and data structures.
  • Partner cross‑functionally to identify mandatory training requirements and ensure they are accurately structured, enforced, and tracked within the LMS.
  • Establish and maintain LMS governance standards, documentation, and controls to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance.
  • Proactively monitor system health and performance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Act as system owner and subject matter expert (SME) for the LMS platform, including feature evaluation, configuration decisions, and best‑practice guidance.

Reporting, Analytics & Insights

  • Produce advanced reporting and learning analytics to assess training completion, compliance, system usage, and learning effectiveness.
  • Interpret LMS data and translate findings into clear, actionable insights and narratives for stakeholders (“data storytelling”).
  • Support leadership decision‑making through dashboards, trend analysis, and recommendations based on LMS data.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness through strong data validation and governance practices.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Serve as the primary liaison with LMS vendors, managing support cases, enhancements, and system updates.
  • Partner with L&D team members to streamline workflows, improve system adoption, and align LMS functionality with learning strategies and learner experience goals.
  • Contribute to department initiatives and continuous improvement efforts as required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience administering and supporting LMS platforms and training records.
  • Experience working with multiple LMS platforms and complex learning environments.
  • Strong understanding of LMS architecture, workflows, data structures, and governance principles.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and manage vendor relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience with advanced LMS reporting, data analysis, and data interpretation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with SharePoint or similar knowledge‑management tools is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates agility and flexibility in a changing environment, with a growth mindset and the ability to learn quickly and independently resolve problems using creative, practical solutions
